CAMP DIRECTOR
Dennis and Amanda Kennedy joined Camp Jacob in December of 2017. Dennis is a Clintwood native. He graduated from Clintwood High School in 1992. A few years after graduating, he joined the United States Navy, where he served as a Nuclear Electricians Mate for six years. Since leaving the Navy, Dennis has worked as a service technician, emergency maintenance, and electronic instrumentation. He has served as a deacon since 2005.
Amanda grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, where she graduated from Gateway Christian Academy. She is a graduate of East Carolina University. She was a high school language arts teacher before moving to Camp Jacob.
Dennis and Amanda were married in 1999. They have four children: Gabe, Ruthie, Rachel, and Lizzy. Gabe currently lives in Nashville with his beautiful new bride, Carleigh.
DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH
Christian Yates is our new Director of Outreach. Christian and his wife Sheridan are not new to Camp Jacob. Both attended camp as campers and have been part of our seasonal staff for since 2022. Christian and Sheridan are graduates of Ridgeview High School. Christian is an ordained minister and serves as the student pastor at Valley View FWB Church in Clintwood.
